Q & A

I am thinking of using the Hexlox locking system with the through axle, as well a padloack. Can you tell me if both ends have a hole for an allen key? And if so then what size too please? what size allen key Rich asked on April 19, 2023

Hi Rich,

There is only one hex on the axle and it's a 6mm although I can make alternate sizes on request if needed. It's worth noting that it's a non magnetic stainless axle and I'm not certain how well you'd be able to use the HexLox non-magnetic adapter due to how they are made. If you drop an email to me at [email protected] before ordering and I can pop my own steel core in there to make it compatible with the system without modifications your end.

Regards,

Sam

Can I use a lockable through axles (designed for my roofrack, for day to day riding as well. So I can lock the front well as well as the bike when out and about? Rich G-J asked on March 24, 2023

While the axle is plenty strong enough for use I wouldn't recommend it as the locking end sticks out a bit which could cause a hazard.
