If your forks feel harsh with poor small bump sensitivity the culprit could be tight bushings. Our suspension bushing resizing tool can be used to resize your bushings to ensure optimum performance and better oil flow by allowing the lower leg lubricating oil to effectively coat the bushings and stanchions. This tool was designed and manufactured in our workshop in Aberdeen, UK and is currently in use in suspension workshops worldwide. The sizes are laser engraved onto the heads for quick and easy identification.
Each kit will contain the handle and two precision machined burnishing heads sized at xx.07 and xx.10. For example if you were to order a 36mm set you would receive one head sized at 36.07 mm and one at 36.10 mm. All kits are supplied in a flight case with a custom CNC machined foam insert to keep them safe along with a detailed instruction guide. We also offer a PRO version of the kit which has additional sizes as well as a larger case designed to store the handle fully assembled when not in use!
All our heads are precision machined in house to a ±10μm tolerance. The tool is compatible with Fox and Rockshox forks as well as other manufacturers. Just select the appropriate size tool from the drop down list. If you would like custom sizes then please contact us here.

I put a lot of effort in to make custom inserts for the cases to keep everything in safely in place but going forwards I’ll tweak the inserts to provide a bit more squish against the lid to ensure they stay where they’re supposed to be even with the roughest of couriers!

My 2004 Marzo bomber Z1 never worked well from new (despite several bike-shop lower services).
Following the instruction video posted by Sam, I bench-tested the forks and found one bush was so tight it was ‘grabbing’ the stanchions, then ran the die through as recommended with the result that the forks now run ‘buttery smooth’.
