This Thule 561 12 x 100 mm adapter will allow you to carry bikes with a 12 mm x 100 mm front hub spacing on your Thule 561 Outride carrier. The adapters have been precision machined to locate into the dropout to enable precise alignment making fitting a breeze. popular on many modern road and cyclocross bikes the 12 mm diameter increases stiffness and is common to many bikes with disc brakes. Do I need a special thru axle for my adapter I have just bought from you or just use the one in my wheel ?

I have a 12mm with a bolt through axle of 112mm should I but they 110mm or do I need to buy the 100mm to leave space for the forks thanks

Thanks for getting in touch.
It is very likely that you require the 100 mm adapter but if there's any doubt it's pretty easy to check yourself. You need to drop the front wheel out and measure the distance between the insides of the fork legs where the hub sits. It should either be 100 mm or 110 mm. Unfortunately as we are no longer part of the EU goods being imported into France from the UK will be subject to customs checks which can incur VAT and customs fees which is outside of our control.

Perfect fit, but when I screw my thru axle lever, it stops with the roof rack, luckily I have an removable lever which I can put a 6mm Allen key to screw in, but is a bit slow rather than if I could have just used the lever.
